Welcome to Real Life 101

"Real Life 101, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides college scholarships for selected inner city, African American males who are graduating from high school. The organization, formed in 2000, has awarded more than 150 scholarships.

Funded by corporations and private donors, Real Life 101 targets students faced with financial obstacles that threaten to prevent them from attending college. In addition to financial need, eligible students must be male and accepted into a full time college program.

High school counselors select students who should be considered for the scholarship. Candidates must complete an application and submit a 1000 word essay describing their goals for the future. "
